KAWAN® is authorized to apply "NB" Mark and register Boilers, Pressure Vessels or Other Pressure Retaining Items with The National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors in accordance with its provisions. The scope of Authorization is limited to items manufactured in accordance with ASME 'U', 'S' & 'H' Stamp.

KAWAN® had obtained Manufacturing License for Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Thermal Fluid Heaters, Boilers, Steam Generators, Economizers and Calorifiers, Deaerators, Waste Water Equipment and Process Equipment by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Malaysia (MITI) under The Industrual Coordination Act, 1975.

The Company name had been changed to Kawan Engineering Sdn. Bhd.

KAWAN® had obtained certification of ISO 9001:2000 on the area of design, manufacturing, on-site commissioning of pressure vessel, heat exchanger system, water & waste treatment equipment and process equipment.

One of KAWAN®’s product - Pressure Vessels is accredited by American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) as authorized to use the indicated symbol “U”. All the pressure vessels are manufactured and tested in accordance with the A.S.M.E. Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

KAWAN® move to new premise. Operating in a factory lot of 2.0 acres, with an engineering crew of approximately 20 experienced and dynamic personnel, KAWAN® are able to customize design, fabricate, install and commission plants / systems.

KAWAN® built the third Biodiesel and Vitamin plant for Carotech Berhad amount to RM 40 million.

KAWAN® was awarded a license by Department of Safety & Health (DOSH) Malaysia to design and construct unfired pressure vessels. KAWAN® is also a license contractor for LPG/LNG piping, accredited by the DOSH and Class “B” Contractor accredited by the Department of Electricity and Gas Supply (JBEG).
